IPL 2022: Did Dhoni 'take-over' the captaincy ahead of Jadeja in CSK's match vs LSG?

In another high-scoring thrilling match, KL Rahul-led-Lucknow Super Giants defeated Ravindra Jadeja's Chennai Super Kings by six wickets in the IPL 2022 on Thursday. Following the match, a former Indian cricketer wasn't happy as he thought that MS Dhoni took over the 'leadership' instead of Jadeja during the match which could cost Jadeja's confidence as a captain.

In his post-match analysis on Cricbuzz, Ajay Jadeja said that he felt that instead of Jadeja, Dhoni was taking over the leadership which was 'wrong'.

Considering himself the biggest fan of Dhoni, Ajay voiced his opinion and said, "It looked a little odd. Jadeja was standing right there and Dhoni continued to run the whole game. See, Dhoni is a very big player and I don't like saying it out loud. But I didn't like what I saw today."

Ajay further said that he could've understood that Dhoni would want to take over the leadership if this was the last match but this was only the second match for the team. Ajay believes that this might have affected Jadeja's confidence as a captain.
