Ajinkya Rahane who had sustained a hamstring injury in Kolkata Knight Riders' 2nd last league stage game has provided a major update on his return date. While informing that his rehabilitation is going well, Rahane who is currently recovering at the National Cricket Association, Bengaluru said that his current focus is getting back on the field. The Test veteran further said that it is expected that he will be fit in around 6-8 weeks. But, currently he said, he is taking one day at a time, one week at a time. Rahane who played in 7 matches for the Knight Riders could collect only 133 runs for the Shreyas Iyer-led team. However, he feels that he had a good IPL outing this season. Rahane's injury comes at a time when he is already struggling to maintain his place in the Indian Test team. Due to his back-to-back poor performances, the 33-year-old was dropped from the Indian Test squad against Sri Lanka, earlier this year.

Royal Challengers Bangalore pacer Mohammed Siraj was among the unluckiest players in IPL 2022 as he conceded 31-sixes the most has any bowler has been hit in the IPL history. But the 29-year old pacer is hopeful of a powerful comeback in India's fifth test against England.
Siraj told PTI that in the last two seasons his graph was up and this time it has come down but then he sees see what he has done in the past two years and takes that along.
RCB's pacer Siraj, who picked 14 wickets in just 4 Test matches against England last year managed to take just 9 wickets in 15 matches in IPL 2022.

Former Pakistan pacer Shoaib Akhtar has come out in the support of Virat Kohli, after his below par performance in IPL 2022.
Kohli scored just 341 runs in 16 matches for Royal Challengers Bangalore in IPL this year. Kohli hasn't scored a century since November 2019. 
In an interview with Sportskeeda Cricket, Akhtar said, "You say good things about Virat Kohli. Give him respect. Why do you not give Virat Kohli respect? As a Pakistani I am saying, he is the greatest player of all time. I can bet that he will score 110 centuries."
The cricketer-turned-commentator further said that Kohli will play till the age of 45 and he shouldn't get afraid as the current situation is preparing him to hit 110 centuries.

The 15th edition of the Indian Premier League though saw a surge in the ad volumes, and the number of brands and advertisers saw a slight drop in comparison to previous years. As per a report by TAM sports which manages sports sponsorship and content, during live matches, there was an increase of 8% of volume ad per channel per match this season as compared to last year's. During the IPL playoffs, the surge was 11% as compared to the 14th edition of IPL. 
However, there was a slight drop in the number of advertisers and brands. While the Advertisers dropped to 62 from 63, Brands saw a decline from 82 to 80 this year. E-Commerce gaming accounted for 14% of the entire share of the ads which was also the maximum, as per the report. Following this were pan masala companies (7%), E-commerce education (6%) E-commerce shopping (5%).

Delhi Capitals' Mitchell Marsh has tested positive for Covid-19, reported PTI on Monday. The Australian cricketer who returned positive in the second RTPCR test, is currently under 10-day isolation. As per reports, Marsh has also been hospitalised. However, the franchise or BCCI are yet to confirm the status. Team doctor Abhijit Salvi and one other staff member have also contracted the virus, the report stated. Earlier, Physio Patrick Farhart had tested positive for coronavirus last week. 
As per PTI's report all the other players have tested negative for the second RTPCR test. The Wednesday's match between Delhi and Punjab will go ahead as schedule, the report further said.

Delhi Capitals' Mitchell Marsh is to isolate for 10 days, as per PTI report.

Other players have tested negative in the second round of RTPCR testing. 

Team doctor Abhijit Salvi and one other staff member have also contracted the virus, the report stated. Earlier,&nbsp;Physio&nbsp;Patrick Farhart&nbsp;had tested positive for coronavirus&nbsp;last week.&nbsp;

Delhi Capitals all-rounder Mitchell Marsh has tested positive for COVID-19, following which he has been admitted to a hospital. The Delhi Capitals medical team is closely monitoring Marsh&rsquo;s condition.&nbsp;A few more members from the Delhi Capitals bio-bubble, including support staff members, have returned positive tests as well. Though they are all asymptomatic, their condition is being monitored closely by the franchise. All remaining members of the bubble are currently in isolation in their respective rooms and will be tested regularly.&nbsp;Earlier,&nbsp;Physio&nbsp;Patrick Farhart&nbsp;had tested positive for coronavirus&nbsp;last week.&nbsp;
As per PTI's&nbsp;report, all the other players had tested negative for the second RTPCR&nbsp;test. Wednesday's match between Delhi and Punjab will likely go ahead as scheduled, the report further said.&nbsp;

The World Championship silver medallist defeated Estonia's Lissell Jaatma to seal the semis spot. The men's team's outing however came to an end early as the recurve team (Tarundeep Rai, Jayanta Talukdar, Pravin Jadhav) and Abhishek Yadav who was competing in the individual event were defeated in the first round bye and quarterfinals respectively.

Indian allrounder cricketer Hardik Pandya led the Gujarat Titans to lift the IPL 2022 trophy in their debut season. After an amazing IPL season, he was selected in India's squad for the 5- matches T20I home series against South Africa. 
The decision to take Hardik into the squad fared well for India as he scored 31 off just 12 balls in the first T20I.  
BCCI posted a video in which Hardik recalled the win in IPL 2022 and said that winning the IPL or even qualifying for playoffs was big deal for him because many people had doubted the team and a lot of things were said about him even before his comeback.
The 28-year-old GT's skipper had an outstanding IPL season as he was the highest run scorer for the title-winning side having scored 487 runs in 15 matches.
Pandya, who was made vice-captain for the India-SA T20I series, further said that no one knows that he made a lot of sacrifices in the last 6 months. He was waking up at 5 in the morning to train and was sleeping at 9:30 in the night for the four successive months after the T20 world cup, said Pandya.

Indian allrounder Hardik Pandya who led the Gujarat Titans to win&nbsp; IPL 2022 in their debut season and was rewarded with an India call-up for the&nbsp; 5-match T20I home series against South Africa.
In a video posted by the BCCI, Pandya, who was made vice-captain for the India-SA T20I series, spoke about his struggles with injury in the past. Pandya explained that most people are not aware of the sacrifices he has made in the last 6 months.
Pandya added that he was waking up at 5 in the morning to train and was sleeping at 9:30 in the night for four successive months after the T20 world cup, said Pandya.
As a result, the celebrated all-rounder made a stunning comeback and was the star performer for the Gujarat Titans.
