Deepak Chahar injury update: CSK coach Stephen Fleming says pacer 'doesn't look good' | IPL

Minutes after the Punjab Kings' innings got underway on Wednesday, CSK bowler Deepak Chahar stopped midway during his third delivery's run-up, clutching his hamstring, only to leave the field moments later.

Though the nature and extent of his injury is unknown, CSK head coach Stephen Fleming said that the pacer doesn't look good.

At the post-match press conference, Fleming provided an update on Chahar's injury, 'So, Deepak Chahar doesn't look good. The initial feeling wasn't great. So, I'm hoping for a more positive report when the physio and the doctor have a look.'

It could be a possible hamstring injury as, after having a chat with skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad and the physio, Chahar walked off ground holding his hamstring and did not bowl any further in the match.

Chahar's career has been marred by injuries in the last couple of years, costing him a permanent spot in the Indian team.
