Amidst the electric atmosphere of the world's largest cricket stadium, the Surya Kiran Acrobatic Team of the Indian Air Force showcased a breathtaking aerial display before the much-anticipated World Cup final between India and Australia on Sunday.

Creating history, the nine Hawk Mk-132 SKAT aircraft of the Indian Air Force presented a mesmerizing 10-minute show, marking the first-ever aerial performance preceding a cricket match in India. The grandeur of their maiden display was fittingly staged before the World Cup final at the Narendra Modi Stadium, boasting a capacity of over 1,30,000 enthusiastic fans.

Part of the 52nd Squadron of the Indian Air Force, the Surya Kiran team pilots, often regarded as the 'ambassadors of the Indian Air Force,' executed stunning maneuvers in their Hawk advanced trainer jets. While the team typically comprises 13 pilots, only nine took part in this display.
