Kuldeep Yadav fires warning shots at New Zealand after India thrash Netherlands | IND vs NED

Kuldeep Yadav is high on confidence after Team India ended the league stage of World Cup 2023 unbeaten in 9 games.

The chinaman even fired warning shots at New Zealand ahead of the semifinal and said that the Kiwis should 'expect the same' level of performance at the Wankhede encounter on Wednesday.

'It's been four years now and we have played many bilateral series between us. Conditions are familiar, they know it and we also know it. Players have also played regularly...so we know everything (of each other). Just that our preparations have been really good, we have played the whole tournament well and we expect the same thing in the next game,' Kuldeep stated.

India lost to New Zealand at the semifinal stage in the 2019 World Cup and will face the same opposition at this tournament.

Kuldeep has taken 14 wickets in 9 matches so far in this World Cup and has picked out his 'line and length' as the critical difference for his better performance.

'Wankhede..I mean, its a difficult track to bowl. The bounce is true, thats why batsmen are dominating there, even in T20 format. And of course in 50 over format you have got plenty of time to come back in your spell. Definitely if you get couple of early wickets, you are always on top of your game.'

'I don't look at videos at all. I don't believe ...I mean I believe...sometimes we just look at the batsmen because I've been playing (against) all the batsmen for six, seven years...we understand. And we just discuss what I can do better in every game...of the length which I'm bowling, that's working for me, you know, not thinking too much about the batsmen who is batting..sometimes they can get better over me but most of the times I just try to think about where to bowl and what sort of line and length,' Kuldeep concluded.
