Home Ministry to decide if India will tour Pakistan for Asia cup: Anurag Thakur

India's Minister of Sports and Youth Affairs, Anurag Thakur, reacted to the Pakistan Cricket Board's (PCB) strong statement in response to BCCI secretary Jay Shah's comment that India won't travel to Pakistan for Asia Cup 2023.

During an event for the announcement of the Khelo India Youth Games, Thakur said that India has contributed a lot to sports, especially cricket. So, the World Cup will be organised next year, and it will be a grand and historic event. "The home ministry will take a decision as there are security concerns in Pakistan and it's not just about cricket. India is not in a position to listen to anyone," he added.

ACC chief Jay Shah's comment that Asia Cup will be hosted at a neutral venue didn't go down well with the PCB as they threatened to pull out of the 2023 ODI World Cup in India.
