Premier League: Chelsea restrict Liverpool 1-1 in opener

The Mauricio Pocchettino era at Chelsea began as the Blues came from behind to restrict Liverpool to a 1-1 draw at Stamford Bridge. It was a thrilling encounter as a new-looking Chelsea's Axel Disasi made a successful debut with an equaliser from close range in the 37th minute. Earlier, Liverpool got on the scoresheet first after Luiz Diaz found the net courtesy of Mohammad Salah's stunning pass in the 18th minute.

It was quite evident why both teams whose defensive inadequacy was on display are fighting hard to bring Brighton midfielder Moises Caicedo. However, as per reports, the Ecuadorian has turned down Liverpool's 110 million pounds offer and is inclined towards joining Chelsea.
