FIFA World Cup 2022 QF: Netherlands vs Argentina preview, match timing, live telecast & streaming (India)

The Netherlands will be eyeing revenge when they lock horns with Argentina in the quarterfinal of the FIFA World Cup 2022. In the 2014 FIFA World Cup, Argentina knocked the Netherlands out at the semifinal stage.

The Dutch team have had a superb run in the ongoing World Cup. They marched into the last 8 with wins over African champions Senegal, and AFC Asian Cup holders Qatar in the group stage while they defeated CONCACAF Champions USA in the pre-quarterfinals.

And now Louis van Gaal's side will be hoping to come up trumps against Copa America winners Argentina in the quarterfinal.

However, in order to achieve the semifinal berth, the Netherlands have to overcome Lionel Messi, who has scored three goals at the World Cup so far.

Argentina, on the other hand, had their worst possible start at the World Cup but they bounced back superbly after facing humiliation from Saudi Arabia in the tournament opener.

Lionel Messi, who is playing his fifth and final World Cup, will look to put up yet another magical show and will be hoping that his dream to emulate the great Diego Maradona in terms of World Cup success does not end in quarter-finals.

Argentina team news

Going into the last 8 clash, La Albiceleste are fretting over the availability of winger Angel Di Maria, who missed the pre-quarterfinal clash against Australia due to a thigh injury. While Papu Gomez is also doubtful for the quarterfinals as he sustained an ankle sprain in the last match.

Netherlands team news

There is no injury scare for the Dutch squad as manager van Gaal declared earlier that everyone is fit and raring to roar against Messi's Argentina.
