EPL Round up: Unai Emery's perfect start at Aston Villa; Arsenal back on top & Liverpool, Newcastle win

Unai Emery had a perfect start to his reign as the Aston Villa manager as the Lions stunned Manchester United 3-1, handing them a defeat for the first time at home in 27 years. While Lion Bailey opened the scoring in the 7th minute, Lucas Digne doubled it 4 minutes later with a free kick, giving hosts a flawless beginning. While Jacob Ramsey's own goal in the 45th minute gave the lacklustre Red Devils a glimmer of hope, the English footballer made amends and struck just 4 minutes later to provide Villa the historic win that saw them ascend to the 13th place in the table.

Mohd Salah scored a brace in Liverpool's first away win of the season at Tottenham. While the Egyptian footballer who has now scored 14 goals this season across competitions struck in the 11th and later in the 40th minute, Harry Kane pulled one back in the 70th minute. That, however, was not enough as the Reds handed the hosts a convincing 2-1 defeat and lifted themselves to the 8th place in the EPL Table.

A 63rd-minute goal by Gabriel Magalhaes ruined Chelsea's outing as Arsenal returned to the top spot in the Premier League table with a 1-0 win at Stamford Bridge. The victory which is their 3rd consecutive one at Stamford Bridge took them 2 points clear of Pep Guardiola's Manchester City after 13 games.

Newcastle moved to the 3rd place in the EPL table with a thumping 4-1 win against Southampton. While Miguel Almiron scored yet again for the Magpies, Chris Wood, Joe Willock and Bruno Guimaraes also joined the party. Romain Perraud however scored a late consolation for the Saints who are struggling at the 18th place in the table.

Though West Ham got the lead in the 20th minute courtesy of Said Benrahma, David Moyes' side faltered 2-1 against Crystal Palace at the London Stadium. While Wilfred Zaha scored the first goal for Palace in the 41st minute, a dramatic injury-time strike from Michael Olise ended West Ham's 6-game winning streak in all competitions.
