'Wrong decision': CA boss calls out previous administration for brushing aside Paine's sexting scandal

Rather than taking serious action, Cricket Australia brushed aside Tim Paine's infamous sexting scandal, and Richard Freudenstein, the current boss has called out CA's wrong decision. The CA chief on Saturday in a press conference acknowledged that the decision sent a wrong impression that this behaviour is acceptable and without serious consequence.

Ahead of Ashes, Paine resigned from his post on Friday. This is after 3 years since the scandal took place.

In 2018, Paine was found guilty of sending unwanted images of his genitalia to a co-worker but despite that, the 36-year-old cricketer was handed the captaincy after Steve Smith was forced to step down because of the ball-tampering scandal.

Saying that the role of the Australian captain must be held to the highest standards, Freudenstein informed that the code of conduct is now appropriate and a full review of sexual harassment education has been undertaken.
