The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) unveiled the itinerary for the 2024 edition of the TATA Women's Premier League (WPL) on Wednesday, setting the stage for the second season of this landmark women's T20 cricket league. Scheduled to run from February 23rd to March 17th, 2024, the tournament will bring its exhilarating cricket battles to the cities of Bengaluru and Delhi, featuring a total of 22 matches across 20 league fixtures and two high-stakes knockout games.

This forthcoming season is structured to hold only single-header matches, all of which are slated to commence at 7:30 PM IST. Bengaluru will have the honour of hosting the first 11 matches, while Delhi is set to welcome the subsequent nine league matches, along with the two decisive Playoff games.

The league's opening match promises a high-octane duel between the inaugural season's champions, Mumbai Indians, and the first runners-up, Delhi Capitals. Adding to the fervour, Royal Challengers Bangalore will make their debut appearance at their home venue, the iconic M Chinnaswamy Stadium, on February 24th, taking on UP Warriorz. Furthermore, Gujarat Giants are geared up to begin their WPL 2024 journey by challenging Mumbai Indians in what's expected to be a captivating encounter.

Delhi's stint as a host will commence on March 5th, featuring Delhi Capitals in a compelling face-off against Mumbai Indians at the Arun Jaitley Stadium. Following this, Delhi will host daily matches, culminating with the last league match on March 13th. The team leading the points table at the end of the league phase will directly qualify for the final.

The playoff excitement kicks off with the Eliminator on March 15th, pitting the second and third-placed teams against each other in a battle for the final berth. The victor of this clash will then challenge the league's top team in the grand finale on March 17th, vying for the coveted WPL trophy in what promises to be a spectacular conclusion to the tournament.
