WPL 2023: A new dawn for women's cricket in India

The inaugural edition of the Women's Premier League will begin on March 4.

India's women cricketers will get the much-needed exposure to take their game to the next level when the Women's Premier League (WPL) ushers in a new dawn for the sport in the country.

The 21-match tournament will begin on Saturday with Gujarat Giants taking on Mumbai Indians in the tournament opener.

Rubbing shoulders with some of the best in the business from all around the world, the WPL will provide a massive platform for young Indian women & girls to showcase their talent on the big stage.

Indian stars will also be hopeful that a tournament like the WPL will help them prepare for the pressures of high-octane tournaments as well as those thrilling contests which the Women in Blue have struggled to close in the last few years.

A new era awaits India!
