Women's T20 schedule for 2022 CWG announced, India set to face Australia in opener

India and Australia will face each other in the first match of the 2022 T20 competition at the Common Wealth Games on July 29th at Edgbaston, the event organisers announced as the full schedule of the event was released on Friday.

The final of the women's T20 competition which is making its debut on the CWG stage will be played on August 7th in England.

While India will play against Australia in the opener in an early session, Pakistan will play Barbados on the same day in the next half. England who are hosting the event will play their first game on July 30th against the winner of the qualifying tournament which starts in early 2022.

7 out of 8 qualifiers for the tournament were announced in April this year, the final team will be decided in January 2022.
