After their disappointing loss against New Zealand, Women in Blue made a strong comeback as they crushed West Indies to win their 2nd match in the ongoing ODI World Cup by 155 runs at Seddon Park in Hamilton.

India won the toss and went in to bat first. Despite 3 wickets falling back to back, Indian opener Smriti Mandhana stood strong and went on to score 123 off 119 runs. Coming in to bat at no. 5, Harmanpreet Kaur provided clinical support to Mandhana as both stitched together 184 run-stand which is also India's best partnership figure so far in World Cup history. Both the batters revived the team and helped India post a mammoth 318 run target which is India's highest in ODI World Cups.
