'We don't need to prove anything to anyone': Hardik Pandya responds to Michael Vaughan's dig at India

As Team India shift its focus on the New Zealand tour after a disappointing end to their T20 World Cup 2022 campaign, Hardik Pandya responded to Michael Vaughan's remarks on the Indian team.

The former English captain had written that India were the most underperforming white-ball team in history and that they should swallow their pride and seek inspiration from England on how to win ICC trophies.

When asked about Hardik's take on Vaughan's statement, India's stand-in T20 skipper said that they don't need to prove anything to anyone.

"Yes there is a disappointment of the World Cup but we are professionals and we need to cope with it just the way we cope with our successes and failures,' added the all-rounder.

With many senior players including Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, KL Rahul and Mohammed Shami being rested for the New Zealand series, Hardik is excited to try out the new bunch of players.
