PAK vs BAN Women's World Cup highlights: Bangladesh script history, beat Pakistan by 9 runs

Bangladesh women achieved many feats in their 3rd match of the ICC Women's World Cup.

The team scripted history as they registered their first-ever win in the ODI world Cups after the Pakistan team fell short by 9 runs in Hamilton, New Zealand on Monday. This also became their first-ever ODI victory over Pakistan.

Sent in to bat first, the Bangla team posted a decent 235 run target, their highest ever in ODIs. While Fargana Hoque hit a 115 ball 71, supporting her was Sharmin Akhtar who scored 44 off 55. Nigar Sultana also contributed with 46 off 64. Pakistan's Nashra Sandhu took 3 wickets.

Although Pakistan had a steady start, the determined opposite side curbed them. After their biggest threat, Sidra Ameen who scored her maiden 100 off 140 balls was out, the Bangladesh bowlers came down heavily on Pakistan. The line-up quickly fell with Fahima Khatun and Rumana Ahmad taking 3 and 2 wickets respectively.
