3 needed off the last delivery and USA Cricket was staring at defeat against neighbours and arch-rivals Canada. But the experienced Ali Khan along with former South African cricketer Juan Theron who now plays for the USA did the unthinkable by running 2 bye runs as the Canadian celebrated a win not knowing that Ali and Theron stole a couple of runs.

In an incident that will definitely go down in history books as perhaps the strangest and also in a blooper reel, Ali Khan and Juan Theron emerged as the unlikely heroes for USA Cricket.

The match was won by the Americans in the super over as they registered a crucial win over their neighbours and bitter rivals in the ICC World T20 2022 Americas regional qualifiers.
