WATCH U19 World Cup Highlights: Despite Covid storm, Team India win & qualify for Super League stage

A Covid-19 outbreak meant that the Under 19 Team India had just 11 fit players to take the field on Wednesday against Ireland at the World Cup.

With 6 first team players including Captain Yash Dhull, Vice captain Sheikh Rasheed and out of the match due to positive tests and symptoms, the team was led by Nishant Sindhu against Ireland.

Batting first, the boys raked in a big score in Tarouba at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy thanks to Angkrish Raghuvanshi and Harnoor Singh. while Angkrish smashed 79, Harnoor returned with a score of 88.While defending the total of 308, the boys didn't let Ireland take advantage for even a moment as they bowled out the opposition for just 133 in 39 overs to win by 174 runs.As a result, the win takes India to the Super League stage as the team has won both their encounters in the ICC Under 19 World Cup so far.
