The infamous Virat Kohli-Naveen-ul-Haq spat in the IPL was perhaps one of the most talked about incidents in 2023.

And even after the game was over, the fight reportedly wasn't.

Naveen had taken to his Instagram and posted a photo of a mango and wrote, 'sweet mangoes'.

Fans were quick to assume it was a dig at Virat Kohli, who is also fondly known as 'Cheeku'.

But now, months later, Naveen has cleared the air.

In an interview for his IPL team, the Lucknow Super Giants he revealed, 'I had told Dhaval bhai (LSG team logistics) that I wanted to eat mangoes. And he got mangoes that night itself. When we went to Goa, he brought mangoes.'

'So I was sitting in front of the screen and eating mangoes. There was no picture or anything (of Kohli), it was a Mumbai Indians player on the screen. So I wrote 'sweet mangoes' and everyone took it in a different way. So even I didn't say anything, I just left it. I thought it was mango season, so people's shops should also do well,' Naveen concluded.

In the recently concluded Cricket World Cup, Naveen and Kohli put an end to their differences and hugged it out during an India-Afghanistan clash.

Naveen also spilled the beans on his patch-up with the India star during his interview and also revealed what the two cricketers spoke about.
