After being out for 14 in the 1st innings of the 2nd Test vs England, the Indian skipper was cleaned up for 13 in the 2nd innings by a James Anderson blinder.

With that, Rohit once again failed to give India a solid start. In fact, in his last 8 Test innings, he hasn't managed to score a single score of over fifty. Rohit has scored just 150 runs during this period at a below-par average of 21.4, with his highest score being 39.

Moreover, 8 innings is the longest that Rohit has gone without hitting a six in Test cricket. The last such unwanted streak came in 2014, when he didn't hit a maximum in 7 straight innings.

The last good Test series he had was against the West Indies in July 2023 when Rohit scored a hundred and a couple of half centuries against a lower ranked team.

With no sign of the Hitman of late and the Indian skipper turning 37 in a couple of months, Rohit Sharma is certainly living on borrowed time.
