Watch! Namibia's Loftie-Eaton smashes fastest T20I hundred

Namibia's Jan Nicol Loftie-Eaton etched his name in history books as he shattered the world record of the fastest hundred in men's T20 internationals.

He achieved the feat during the opening match of the tri-nation series in Nepal and scored his hundred off just 33 balls.

He broke Nepal's Kushal Malla's record who had taken a ball more to score his hundred, which is now the 2nd fastest.

Loftie-Eaton was eventually out for a 36-ball-101 and his knock included 11 fours and 8 sixes. The 92 runs he scored in boundaries were also the most by a batter in T20Is.

Malla's feat had come during the 2023 Asian Games in Hangzhou, when Nepal smashed 314/3 vs Mongolia. In that match, Dipendra Singh Airee had hit the fastest T20I fifty, off nine balls.

Batting first, Namibia found themselves wanting at 62/3 in the 11th over when Loftie-Eaton came out and turned the tide against Nepal.

He also came good witih the ball and picked up 2 wickets for 29 runs from his 3 overs as Nepal was bowled out for 186 in the 19th over.
