Long after Virat Kohli’s teammates pulled him away during his heated exchange with Gautam Gambhir, the ace batter took a subtle dig at the former India opener in a post-match RCB video.

Looking seemingly unaffected by the spat, Virat said in the clip, ‘If you can give it, you got to take it. Otherwise don’t give it.’

His comments reportedly hark back to the April 10 match when Bangalore hosted Lucknow Super Giants at the Chinnaswamy Stadium and LSG mentor Gautam Gambhir gestured at the crowd to keep quiet.

An action that Virat repeated at Ekana Stadium in front of a jubilant Lucknow crowd.

The origins of Monday’s altercation are not quite clear. Some reports state that the brief chat between LSG’s Kyle Mayers and Virat Kohli after the match triggered the quarrel.

As speculations over the fight continue, Virat took to Instagram and shared a quote by Marcus Aurelius that read, ‘Everything we hear is an opinion, not a fact. Everything we see is a perspective, not the truth.’

The entire ordeal gained further heat when LSG's Naveen-ul-Haq in a likely response to Virat's Instagram quote, posted a story on the social media app saying, 'You get what you deserve, that's how it should be and that's how it goes.'

Naveen and Virat argued during the game, which then spilled over post-match and is being cited as one of the reasons behind the Virat-Gambhir spat.
