Evin Lewis's 56 was the highlight of the Windies' innings but Dwaine Pretorius' 3 wickets in the death overs restricted the Windies to 143/8. South Africa reached 144-2 with 10 balls to spare, Aiden Markram leading the way with an unbeaten 26-ball-51, his fifth T20 half-century.

Defending champions West Indies could be heading for an early exit following a second straight defeat in the Super 12 stage. They must now win their final 3 Group 1 games and hope results elsewhere go their way if they are to qualify for the semi-finals.
