What a perfect end of a Test career! New Zealand batter Ross Taylor took the final wicket of Bangladesh's second innings as the Kiwis defeated the Bangla Tigers by an innings and 117 runs in the second and final Test at Christchurch on Tuesday.

Taylor walked back to the pavilion amidst a huge round of applause from his teammates, crowds, and the opposition players as he ended his career with joint-most 112 Test matches appearances for New Zealand.

T20 World Cup 2022 schedule: When is Team India's first match

Taylor's stellar career had many ups and little downs as he hung up his boots with most 7683 Test runs for New Zealand. In his last 12 months of Test cricket, he helped the Black Caps to become the first World Test champions after putting a brilliant partnership with Kane Williamson in June last year.

Earlier, the hosts put a clinical performance on Day 3 to bundle out Bangladesh for 278 runs after enforcing the follow-on. Bangladesh won the first Test of the series but the Kiwis came back strongly in the second Test posting a mammoth 521-6 (dec) in their first innings.
