Rishabh Pant health update: Wicketkeeper-batter likely to be discharged in two weeks

After major surgery on the medial collateral ligament (MCL), Rishabh Pant has been kept under observation by doctors to assess if the ligaments are healing naturally.

While talking to TOI, a BCCI source said that the posterior cruciate ligament (PCL) is a cause of concern and as per doctors, MCL surgery was absolutely necessary and now his PCL will be assessed in two weeks.

The BCCI source also stated that Pant is likely to be discharged after two weeks and the southpaw will then undergo four to six months of rehabilitation before he can start playing again.
