Rinku Singh's pyrotechnics propel India to 180 despite horror start | IND vs SA 2nd T20I

The Rinku Singh show is becoming a regular feature for Indian fans. Once more, as India struggled, the southpaw took matters in his own hands and how!

At 68/3 in 8 overs, the visitors were wobbling away to a measly score. But Rinku readily turned the game around, bringing up his maiden international half-century in a mere 30 balls.

There was no stopping the 25-year-old as he smashed 9 fours and 2 sixes, remaining unbeaten at 68. His blistering knock ensured India got to 180 in Gqeberha.

Accompanying him was the ICC No. 1 T20 batter Suryakumar Yadav. Yadav played a captain's knock when India had already lost both their openers for a duck.

The 33-year-old became the joint-fastest Indian to amass 2000 runs in T20Is, on par with Virat Kohli, including a blazing 36-ball 56 on Tuesday.

For the Proteas, Marco Jansen, Tabraiz Shamsi, Aiden Markram and Lizaad Williams took 1 each while Gerald Coetzee took a 3-fer.
