The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has clarified that its chairman Najam Sethi didn't make any recommendation relating to Pakistan playing their World Cup matches in Bangladesh instead of India.
"At no stage during Thursday&rsquo;s media interaction, did I give any reference to the ICC or made any remarks on the ICC Men&rsquo;s Cricket World Cup 2023, which is scheduled in October. This matter has not been mooted or discussed at any ICC forum so far,&rdquo; Sethi said in the press release.
According to PTI, ICC had already stated that no discussions relating to the Cricket World Cup 2023 were carried out with PCB as BCCI had assured that visa won't be a problem for the Men in Green.

They will meet the Royals in Jaipur on April 19 and defending champions Gujarat Titans will be at Ekana on the 22nd.
After a 5-day break, they will commence their second half of the IPL at Mohali, followed by 2 home matches against RCB &amp; CSK on May 1 &amp; 4. They will then travel to Ahmedabad on May 7, followed by a visit to Hyderabad on May 13. The two may share a great bond off the field but on it, the battle will be fierce. While Dhoni would be eager to start what is likely to be his last season on a high, Hardik would be itching to prove that GT's dream run in the inaugural season wasn't a flash in the pan.

PCB chief Najam Sethi warned Shah at the ACC meeting in Bahrain, saying that if India pulls out of the Asia Cup, Pakistan will not be taking part in the World Cup to be held in India in October-November

With BCCI secretary Jay Shah, who is also the president of the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) standing firm in his stance that India will not tour Pakistan for the 2023 Asia Cup, matters between the BCCI and PCB got heated with Pakistan threatening to pull out of the ODI World Cup in India as well.
According to multiple reports in Pakistan and international media outlets, PCB chief Najam Sethi warned Shah at the ACC meeting in Bahrain, saying that if India pulls out of the Asia Cup, Pakistan will not be taking part in the World Cup to be held in India in October-November.
Sethi also told the ACC members that before the next meeting, the BCCI should speak to its government and make its stance clear on whether it will send its team for the Asia Cup, so that Pakistan can also discuss with the ICC about playing its World Cup matches in India.

The players must comply with &ldquo;appropriate conditions,&rdquo; including not expressing support for Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
They also must not receive funding &ldquo;from the Russian or Belarusian states (including sponsorship from companies operated or controlled by the states) in relation to their participation in The Championships,&rdquo; the All England Club said in a statement.
