Ravindra Jadeja and CSK not in touch since IPL 2022, partnership may end: reports

The murmurs of a rift between Ravindra Jadeja and Chennai Super Kings got louder last month when the all-rounder removed all posts related to CSK from his official Instagram account.

According to a report in the Times of India, nothing is well between the two till now as Jadeja and CSK have not been in touch since IPL 2022. The report adds that unless something miraculous happens in the next couple of months, their 10-year-long partnership might end soon.

Talks of tension between Jadeja and the IPL franchise started doing the rounds during the 2022 edition when the all-rounder relinquished his captaincy to focus and concentrate more on his game. Interestingly, he was made the skipper just before the season began but the Super Kings had a poor run under him.

MS Dhoni was once again handed over the captaincy duties midway and he accepted that captaincy burdened Jadeja's preparations and performances.

However, the speculations will start to intensify if a formal proposal of trading comes from any other franchise in November when the trading window opens up. The report in TOI further states that a couple of top franchises, who will need an Indian captain sooner rather than later, have been in touch with Jadeja. But there has been no official communication on those lines.
