Notable changes in Pakistan's squad for West Indies tour: Shaheen Afridi returns for T20s; Rizwan leads ODI team.

Shaheen Afridi returns for Windies T20 series

The Pakistani cricket selectors have made notable changes for the upcoming tour of the West Indies. In a key move, fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi has been recalled for the T20 series after being absent for several past series in this format. Meanwhile, Mohammad Rizwan retains his role as the captain of the One-Day International squad in the Caribbean.

Shaheen's inclusion bolsters the pace attack along with fellow fast bowlers Hasan Ali and Haris Rauf, who return to the side after missing the recent series in Bangladesh.

The selection panel has chosen to maintain stability in the batting lineup by retaining leading batsman Babar Azam for the ODI series. The T20 matches are set to take place from July 31 to August 3 in Florida, with the ODIs scheduled to follow in Trinidad.

There are some changes from the Bangladesh T20 series, as the youthful pacers Abbas Afridi, Ahmed Daniyal, and Salman Mirza did not make the cut for the West Indies tour.

The squads for the respective formats were announced as follows:

Pakistan T20 Squad: Salman Ali Agha (captain), Abrar Ahmed, Faheem Ashraf, Fakhar Zaman, Haris Rauf, Hasan Ali, Hasan Nawaz, Hussain Talat, Khushdil Shah, Muhammad Haris, Muhammad Nawaz, Sahabzada Farhan, Saim Ayub, Shaheen Shah Afridi, and Sufyan Muqim.

Pakistan ODI Squad: Muhammad Rizwan (captain), Babar Azam, Abdullah Shafique, Abrar Ahmed, Faheem Ashraf, Fakhar Zaman, Hasan Ali, Hasan Nawaz, Hussain Talat, Muhammad Haris, Naseem Shah, Muhammad Nawaz, Saim Ayub, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Sufyan Muqim.
