'One mistake that I regret': Harbhajan Singh speaks about Slapgate scandal

The former Indian cricketer Harbhajan Singh who has been the controversy's favorite child was embroiled in several incidents in his 23-year-long cricket career. However, the retired off-spinner feels he regrets the most about the Sreesanth Slapgate incident.

In 2008, during the inaugural edition of the Indian Premier League, the then MI cricketer, Harbhajan Singh grabbed headlines across the world for reportedly hitting S Sreesanth during a match between MI and Kings XI Punjab (now, Punjab Kings)While the 'slapping incident' was not caught on camera but Sreesanth was seen crying on the field after Harbhajan's team lost the match to Punjab Kings. Apologizing yet again for the incident, Bhajji while speaking at the Glance Live fest accepted his mistake. 'Because of me, my teammate had to face embarrassment, he said and added, 'if I had to correct one mistake it would be how I treated Sreesanth on the field it should not have happened.

Though Sreesanth tried to downplay the incident Bhajji was banned from the rest of the tournament and the BCCI after its inquiry further banned him for 5 ODIs.
