Moeen Ali to come out of retirement for England's tour of Pakistan

English allrounder Moeen Ali is coming out of retirement to play Test cricket during England's winter tour of Pakistan. The decision came after the English cricketer had a lengthy conversation with England's new head coach, Brendon McCullum.

Moeen took retirement from Test cricket in September last year after taking 195 wickets in 64 Tests. He also scored five centuries in the longest format of the game.

Moeen told BBC Test Match Special that if McCullum wants him, he will definitely play in Pakistan. "It would be a historic event because of England not touring there for so many years," said the 34-year-old cricketer.

Talking about his conversation with McCullum, Moeen said that England's new head coach is very convincing and he would love to play under him and the newly appointed Test captain Ben Stokes.

The English cricket team is scheduled to tour Pakistan from September to December 2022 for three Test matches and seven T20I matches.
