Melbourne Cricket Club shows interest in hosting India vs Pakistan Test series at MCG

Melbourne Cricket Club has expressed its interest in hosting the top-billing clash between India and Pakistan, who otherwise haven't played a bilateral series since 2012-13.

After the India-Pakistan match success in T20 World Cup which had 90,000 spectators, MCC chief executive Stuart Fox told SEN radio that he intends to host 3 Tests between the rival nations at the MCG.

Fox revealed that the body has spoken to Cricket Australia, who in turn would speak to ICC regarding the same. Fox further said he understands that the busy schedule of the 2 cricketing nations will be the biggest challenge.

The last time India and Pakistan played a bilateral Test series against each other was in 2007.
