Logan van Beek shines as Netherlands stun West Indies in Super Over | ODI World Cup Qualifiers

Netherlands all-rounder Logan van Beek emerged as the standout performer in a thrilling encounter, pushing the West Indies to the brink of elimination from the ODI World Cup qualifiers.

Having been set a mammoth target of 375 thanks to a Nicholas Pooran century, the Netherlands were well behind the eight ball till the 30th over. But an incredible 143-run partnership between captain Scott Edwards & Teja Nidamanuru resurrected the Dutch, with the latter finishing with 111 off 76 balls.

The Windies fought back in the final overs, but van Beek's crucial contribution brought the Netherlands within touching distance of a victory, but Alzarri Joseph bagged a wicket on the final ball to force a Super Over.

But what followed was a massacre, with Logan van Beek taking Jason Holder to the cleaners.
4, 6, 4, 6, 6, 4 - The Dutch all-rounder smashed 30 runs to leave Holder in shock.

Van Beek then followed it up with an exceptional over, claiming two wickets for just eight runs.

The Dutch won, and their victory meant they qualified for the Super Six with 2 points, while the Windies will take none into the next stage. The loss also meant West Indies, 2-time ODI World Cup Champions, suffered a significant setback in their quest for World Cup qualification.
