Two-time champions Kolkata Knight Riders released as many as 16 players ahead of the IPL auction in Kochi next month.

Having already traded in 3 players in the form of Shardul Thakur, Lockie Ferguson & Rahmanullah Gurbaz, KKR revealed their list of released players with 16 named on it.

The franchise will also miss the services of Pat Cummins, Sam Billings and Alex Hales, with all three opting out of IPL 2023.

Aaron Finch, Ajiknya Rahane & Shivam Mavi are among the 16 players released while captain Shreyas Iyer, Andre Russell, Sunil Narine,Tim Southee are among the 14 players retained.

KKR have a purse of ₹ 7.05 crores with 3 overseas slots remaining.
