'It became a massive problem', Ravi Shastri reveals what cost India World Cups

In 2011, India won its last World Cup when MS Dhoni was the skipper and Gary Kirsten the head coach. Since then, it has been a struggle for Team India to get their hands around a World Cup.

After Virat Kohli took over the captaincy, India lost the 2019 World Cup, the World T20, and the final of the World Test championship as well.

Meanwhile, ex-coach Ravi Shastri has pointed out the reason behind India's extended wait for a World title.

Shastri said that he always wanted that there should be a player in the top six who can bowl. The former Indian cricketer highlighted how Hardik's injury that happened during the 2018 Asia Cup became a major problem for India's performance. Shastri said, 'Team India had to bear the brunt of it'.

As per Shastri India lost many World Cups since they did not have any player in the top six who could bowl. The former Indian cricketer also revealed that he had also asked the selectors to solve the problem for them, but nothing happened.
