IPL 2024 auction: Punjab Kings full squad, auction buys, remaining purse

Punjab Kings, who are always very active during IPL auctions remained relatively quiet this time. They released big players like Bhanuka Rajapaksa, Matthew Short and Shahrukh Khan and went to the auction table with Rs 29.1 crore. They came to the IPL auction with 8 slots to fill and their biggest buy was IPL 2021 purple cap winner, Harshal Patel for whom they paid Rs 11.75 crore. They also bought England all-rounder Chris Woakes.

PBKS already have players like Shikhar Dhawan, Liam Livingstone, Jonny Bairstow and Jitesh Sharma in their ranks. However, they added another power-hitter in the form of Rilee Rossouw. They surely needed depth in their bowling lineup and will be hoping that the signing of Harshal Patel and Chris Woakes will provide that missing strength in their bowling.
