The IPL 2022 final was played at the Narendra Modi Stadium between Gujarat Titans and Rajasthan Royals on May 29, 2022, which witnessed an attendance of 1,01,566 people has been registered in the Guinness book of records.

As the Indian Premier League continues to grow even bigger, there was another reason for BCCI to reaffirm IPL's status as the biggest cricket league in the world as IPL 2022 final made its way into the Guinness World Records.

The IPL 2022 final played between Gujarat Titans and Rajasthan Royals at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, which is the world's biggest cricket stadium and has a total capacity of 1,32,000 people. That game recorded an attendance of 1,01,566 people which broke the record for the largest attendance in a T20 match.

BCCI Secretary Jay Shah in a tweet thanked the fans for the big achievement and also their continuous support of the IPL over the years. Gujarat Titans beat Rajasthan Royals by 7 wickets in the final to claim their maiden IPL title in their very first season at their home ground.
