India vs West Indies: Shikhar Dhawan's men achieve a massive feat with a win in the 3rd ODI

Team India achieved a massive feat on Wednesday when they beat West Indies by 119 runs (DLS) in the 3rd ODI. Ever since the 2 sides started playing bilateral ODIs in the Caribbean in 1983, the Men in Blue had never whitewashed the Windies in their own backyard but Shikhar Dhawan's men made history.

By winning all 3 ODIs, Team India clean swept the West Indies in an away series comprising 3 or more ODI matches for the first time in 39 years. Overall, this is India's 13th clean sweep in ODI cricket.

Shubman Gill's gritty 98 not out powered India to 225/3 in 36 overs in a rain-affected Trinidad ODI. Chasing a Duckworth–Lewis revised target of 257 in 35 overs, West Indies was bowled out for 137. Yuzvendra Chahal broke their back with 4 wickets.

With that, India became only the third team to double whitewash a team in a calendar year. The Men in Blue had also won the ODI series 3-0 at home back in February this year.
