India skipper Harmanpreet Kaur has surpassed the legendary Mithali Raj to become the highest run-getter in Women's T20 Internationals for India. Harmanpreet achieved this milestone after scoring an unbeaten 31 off 32 against Sri Lanka in the second match of the three-match T20I series in Dambulla which India won by 5 wickets.
Indian allrounder now has 2372 runs from 123 T20I matches with the help of a century and six fifties. 
Notably, Mithali recently took retirement from international cricket. Mithali had scored 2,364 runs in 89 T20Is. Smriti Mandhana is placed third on the list with 2011 runs.
The 33-year-old Harmanpreet is also the third overall Indian batter with the most runs in T20Is behind Rohit Sharma (3313 runs) and Virat Kohli (3296 runs).
Harmanpreet is currently captaining India in three T20Is and as many ODIs against Sri Lanka. India have taken an unassailable 2-0 lead in the T20I series.

Madhya Pradesh have won their maiden Ranji Trophy after beating 41-time champions Mumbai by 6 wickets in the final at M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on Sunday.

Madhya Pradesh had last reached the final of the prestigious Ranji Trophy back in the 1998/99 season, where they were beaten by Karnataka.

Madhya Pradesh have won their maiden Ranji Trophy crown after beating 41-time champions Mumbai by 6 wickets in the final in Bengaluru on Sunday.
Riding on Sarfaraz Khan&rsquo;s hundred, Mumbai had posted 374 in the first innings. But Madhya Pradesh's Yash Dubey, Shubham Sharma and Rajat Patidar smashed hundreds to help their side take a massive 162-run lead.&nbsp;
Mumbai were bundled out for 269 in their second innings and Aditya Shrivastava&rsquo;s side easily chased the 108-run target down to script history.
It&rsquo;s a big milestone for Madhya Pradesh since they had never won the prestigious tournament before and played just one final 23 years ago in 1999, where they were defeated by Karnataka.

Hardik Pandya has been enjoying an amazing career as he recently led Gujarat Titans to win their maiden IPL trophy, made his India comeback against South Africa this month and he was also made the India captain for Irish tour starting on June 26. Hardik feels that the responsibilities has made him a better cricketer and he has learnt a lot from former captains MS Dhoni and Virat Kohli.

Hardik Pandya revealed how he's taken inspiration from two of his former captains - MS Dhoni &amp; Virat Kohli.

Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya has had an upturn in fortunes in the past few months.
Only last month, he led the Gujarat Titans to their maiden IPL title in his debut season as captain. And now, he&rsquo;s going to captain India in the 2-match T20I series against Ireland.
Speaking to the press ahead of the first game in Dublin, Hardik said that he has learned a lot from former captains MS Dhoni &amp; Virat Kohli.

Indian cricketer Virat Kohli has always been expressive whether it's on the ground or outside. In a warm-up match between Rohit Sharma-led Indians and Sam Evans-led Leicestershire, Kohli was seen confronting the crowd after a few spectators misbehaved with Indian youngster Kamlesh Nagarkoti.
In a now viral video, former India captain can be seen schooling a fan after seeing the way the fan was acting. A fan was continuously asking Nagarkoti for pictures. 
Indian pacer Nagarkoti is part of India's net bowlers for the tour and was playing as a substitute fielder during the match between Indians and Leicestershire.
The fan can also be heard saying that he took a leave from his job to watch the match and he deserved a photo with Nagarkoti.
Kohli defended his teammate and responded by saying that Nagarkoti is there to play the match, and not to click photos.
India will play their 5th rescheduled Test against England at the Edgbaston, Birmingham from Friday, July 1.

Indian cricketer Virat Kohli has always been expressive whether it's on the field or off it.
In the warm-up match against Leicestershire, the former Indian captain schooled a fan who was constantly bothering Indian youngster Kamlesh Nagarkoti for a photo.
In a video that's gone viral, Kohli has been captured having a heated exchange with a fan from the balcony of his dressing room. While part of the conversation is unclear, Kohli was visibly unhappy with the constant heckling aimed at the young Indian pacer.
While Nagarkoti is not part of the Indian squad, he's part of the travelling group as a net bowler. He was playing as a substitute during the third day of India's practice game and was fielding near the boundary rope when the incident took place.
In the clip, the fan can be heard saying that he took a leave from his job to watch the match and he deserved a photo with Nagarkoti.
Miffed with the spectator, Kohli told him that Nagarkoti was there to play the match, and not to click photos.

After backlash from the fans, Jagadeesan realised it was a mistake and took to social media to write an apology note. He wrote that cricket has always been what he lives for and the sportsmanship that comes along with the sport is something he deeply respects. The surge Indian Premier League is not going down well with Pakistan Cricket Board. PCB chief Ramiz Raja has decided to challenge the proposed two-and-a-half-month IPL window in future ICC meet.

Yuvendra Chahal is on verge of highest wicket-taker for India in T20 cricket. Chahal, who won the purple cap in IPL 2022, has 274 wickets in 242matches and he is just two wickets away from R Ashwin's record of 276 wickets in T20 cricket.
Ashwin is currently the highest wicket-taker for India and Chahal could break Ashwin's record during the five-match series against South Africa.
With 68 wickets in 54 T20 Internationals, Chahal is already India's highest wicket-taker in the shortest format of cricket. He is followed by premier pacer Jasprit Bumrah who has one wicket less than Chahal and has been rested for the South Africa series.
However, Chahal has managed to pick only one wicket per match in the last 11 matches he played.

IPL&nbsp;2022 Purple cap winner Yuzvendra&nbsp;Chahal&nbsp;needs 2 more wickets to become India's highest wicket-taker in T20s

Yuzvendra Chahal is on the verge of becoming India's highest wicket-taker in T20 cricket. Chahal, who won the purple cap in IPL 2022, has 274 wickets in 242 matches. The leggie is only two wickets away from R Ashwin's record of 276 scalps in T20s.
Chahal could go past the off-spinner's record during the five-match series against South Africa since Ashwin&nbsp;is no more a part of India's squad in the shortest format.

With 68 wickets in 54 games, Chahal is already India's highest wicket-taker in T20Is. He is followed by premier pacer Jasprit Bumrah who has 67 wickets, one less than Chahal.&nbsp;
Bumrah, who&nbsp;has been rested for the series against the Proteas, will only be available for India's tour of United Kingdom.

The Irish batter came out to bat with his side reduced to 22/3 and counter-attacked from the word go. His fiery 33-ball-64 powered Ireland to 108/4 in their 12 overs. It's now the highest score by an Irish player in T20I against India.
Impressed by his good show, Team India skipper Hardik Pandya lavished praise on the youngster. After the match he said that Tector played some fantastic shots. 'I have given him a bat and maybe he can score some more sixes and get an IPL contract,' added Pandya.

Just a day after Rohit Sharma tested positive for Covid-19, now the English wicketkeeper-batsman Ben Foakes has tested positive for Covid-19 and has been ruled out of the ongoing Test against New Zealand. His availability for the rescheduled 5th Test against India remains in doubt.
Earlier, Foakes was unable to take the field due to a stiff back on day three of the third Test against  New Zealand. The 29-year old English wicketkeeper then tested positive for Covid-19 after taking an Lateral flow Test.
In a statement, England and Wales Cricket Board said, "Details of his return to the England set-up will be announced in due course. However, it is hoped he will be fit for the Test against India starting next Friday at Edgbaston."
Sam Billings has been drafted into the playing XI as a COVID replacement.
Interestingly, the 5th Test between India and England was cancelled due to Covid-19 last year. They will now play their 5th rescheduled Test from July 1.
