India vs Pakistan Test series to be played in England? ECB makes an offer

India and Pakistan may not have locked horns in a Test match in 15 years but chances are that wait might end soon.

The England Cricket Board has floated an idea of an India-Pakistan Test series on English soil. Reportedly, the deputy chairman of ECB, Martin Darlow, held talks with the Pakistan Cricket Board and offered England's grounds as venues for ideally a 3-match Test series in future.

A senior BCCI official told PTI that a series against Pakistan is not something that the BCCI will decide but it is the decision of the government.

The Indian government has maintained its stance of not playing any bilateral series with the arch-rivals due to political tensions between the two countries. Though the two sides lock horns in ICC and ACC events, the last bilateral ODI series was played way back in 2012.

Rohit Sharma's men will lock horns against Babar Azam's side in the T20 World Cup 2022 on October 23.
