India vs Pakistan Super 4 match in Colombo to have reserve day if rain washes out Sep 10 | Asia Cup 2023

Amid a war of words between Asian Cricket Council (ACC) President Jay Shah and former Pakistan Cricket Board chairman Najam Sethi over Asia Cup scheduling, the ACC announced that a reserve day has been added for the September 10 India-Pakistan clash.

The statement comes after co-host country Sri Lanka has been marred with incessant rains, with the previous India vs Pakistan match also being washed out.

It means that if the rain plays spoilsport during the marquee clash in Colombo on Sunday, the match can be resumed the very next day from the point it got halted.

It is important to note that the continental governing body has not added reserve days for any other Super 4 clash in Sri Lanka so far.

The final, which will be played on September 17 in the Lankan capital, has a reserve day in place as well.
