India's 2022-23 domestic calendar: Duleep Trophy, Irani Cup return after Covid-19 hiatus

With life getting back to normal after two years were lost to the pandemic, BCCI is set to bring the Duleep Trophy and Irani Cup back to the domestic fold.

According to an ESPNcricinfo report, India's domestic season will begin in early September.

With an eye on the women's U-19 World Cup, BCCI will also hold a domestic Under-16 competition this season. Meanwhile, the women's zonal competition will return after a gap of five years.

Moreover, India's premier first-class competition, the Ranji Trophy, will be played in its old format with four elite pools and a plate division.

Syed Mushtaq Ali T20s and Vijay Hazare Trophy are likely to be played in October and November followed by Ranji Trophy. India's premier first-class competition is tentatively slated to take place between December 2022 and February 2023.
