IND vs SA: Why coach Rahul Dravid is unhappy with Rishabh Pant & other batters after the big loss

A rare loss for Team India but clearly there is a lot to learn after one of the best travelling sides in the world cricket were beaten by 7 wickets at the Wanderers. Team India has a lot to fight for going into the final Test in Cape Town but before that there is time for introspection and head coach Rahul Dravid has a lot to address.

Speaking after the 7-wicket loss, Dravid minced no words and wanted the batters to take responsibility. He said, "May be some of the guys who got starts could have converted into hundreds and that was difference in the first Test as we had Rahul in the first game." Although the new coach didn't name anyone specific, clearly the ones who got the start like Cheteshwar Pujara and Ajinkya Rahane must've received the message.

Speaking about the flamboyant wicket-keeper batter Rishabh Pant, Dravid once again managed to hide his disappointment but his words were enough to sound a warning. Dravid said, "I think if you have just come in, maybe giving yourself a little more time might be a little bit more advisable. Sometimes, it is just about just figuring out what is the right time to maybe attack and play out a slightly difficult period that sets the game up".

The loss no doubt came as a surprise to Team India but knowing how this team bounces back from bad results, the fans will be eagerly waiting for the Cape Town Test to start.
