The Three Lions never recovered from the early blows and kept losing wickets at regular intervals in search of big hits. However, Moeen Ali and David Willey tried to steer England's innings but couldn't do that for long as Indian bowlers kept coming hard.

Finally, the hosts were bundled out for 121 runs with 18 balls to spare. Bhuvneshwar was adjudged the Player of the match for his impressive 3 for 15.

Earlier, Indian openers Rohit Sharma and Rishabh Pant provided a flying start with a 49-run stand.

With wickets tumbling from the other end, Ravindra Jadeja found his lost touch in the shortest format. His unbeaten 46 lifted India to 170-8 in 20 overs.
