England's newly-appointed head coach for Tests, Brendon McCullum opened up about his new role for the first time and said that it is a great opportunity to coach England.
"I look at this job and I think there's one country that can try and ensure that Test cricket not only sustains but also thrives, and that's England with the traditions and the support that it gets. So it's a big job at hand and I and I look forward to it," said McCullum.
The former New Zealand captain also added that his new job is not going to be easy but he knows how to handle the pressure that comes up with England's coaching job
"I understand that there's a lot of pressure which go with a job such as this. Royal Challengers Bangalore's wicket-keeper batter Dinesh Karthik has been reprimanded for breaching the Indian Premier League's (IPL) Code of Conduct during his team's Eliminator match against Lucknow Super Giants at Eden Gardens, Kolkata, on Wednesday.
In an official statement, IPL said, "Mr Karthik admitted to the Level 1 offence under Article 2.3 of the IPL Code of Conduct and accepted the sanction."

Article 2.3 is related to the use of an audible obscenity during a match.
The statement did not provide much information and reason for the breach. However, RCB's cricketer scored a valuable unbeaten 37 runs off 23 balls to power RCB to 207/4 in the Eliminator against Lucknow which RCB won by 14 runs.
Dinesh Karthik has been recently selected for India’s upcoming home T20I series against South Africa following his excellent performance in IPL.

Royal Challengers Bangalore's wicketkeeper-batsman Dinesh Karthik heaped praise on Pakistan cricketer Babar Azam claiming that he has the potential to become the world No.1 in all three formats of the cricket.
In an episode of 'The ICC Review', Dinesh Karthik said that Babar is a high-quality player who is at the peak of his batting prowess and he has got some Test matches coming up.

Veteran Test cricketer Wriddhiman Saha has expressed his unwillingness to play for Bengal in the Ranji Trophy, Cricket Association of Bengal President Avishek Dalmiya said. After a great outing in IPL 2022, Saha had been included in the Ranji squad for the upcoming Ranji knockouts. This reportedly annoyed him as the decision was not taken with his consultation. Following this, the 37-year-old exited the team's WhatsApp group and informed about his decision to not participate in Ranji Trophy. Dalmiya said that the management tried its best to convince him. However, Saha has made up his mind to not play for Bengal again, he added. While the wicket-keeper batter is yet to ask for the no-objection certificate from the state association, the CAB president said that it will be given to him, whenever he asks for it. This might turn out to be the end of Saha's Ranji Trophy career. Saha who made his debut in 2007 has played 122 first-class and 102 List A matches.Bengal will play their Ranji quarterfinal on June 6 against Jharkhand.

 Jos Buttler looked a different player this season as he hammered bowlers from the start of the tournament. Such was Buttler's prolific run-scoring in which he slammed back-to-back centuries and took the IPL by storm. He slammed four centuries and as many fifties in the tournament.

 Samson, the captain &amp; batter
 Samson led Rajasthan from the front and steered the team brilliantly during the crunch-death overs. Whenever Royals were lagging behind in the death overs, he slowed the game to halt opposition momentum which helped the team immensely.
 Spin Twins - Ashwin and Chahal
 While Yuzvendra Chahal emerged as the biggest contender for the coveted Purple Cap, one can't ignore the contribution of Ravichandran Ashwin. Chahal took 26 wickets for Royals whereas Ashwin ensured that he tightened the noose and stopped run flow for his side. Ashwin also emerged as a useful batter for the Royals and was used as a floater many times.
