Harmanpreet Kaur outburst: BCCI President Roger Binny and NCA Chief VVS Laxman to question Indian captain

BCCI President Roger Binny and NCA's Head of cricket, VVS Laxman are set to hold discussions with women's team captain, Harmanpreet Kaur, regarding her recent outbursts during the ODIs against Bangladesh.

“Roger Binny and Laxman will question Harmanpreet on her outbursts during the third ODI against Bangladesh,” BCCI secretary Jay Shah told media outlets in Delhi.

Harmanpreet Kaur's on-field behavior during the third and final ODI against Bangladesh has drawn significant criticism. Following her dismissal, she expressed her frustration by smashing the stumps and continued her tirade during the post-match presentation. Moreover, Kaur's conduct also included mocking the umpires and Bangladeshi players during the trophy presentation.

In response to this incident, the ICC imposed a two-match suspension on Kaur, a decision that the BCCI will not appeal against.

The discussions with BCCI President Roger Binny and NCA Chief VVS Laxman aim to address the concerns surrounding Kaur's behavior during the matches against Bangladesh. The meeting comes after a series of discussions with state unit officials in New Delhi.
