'Goodbye Warnie': Australians give emotional tribute to Shane Warne at Melbourne Cricket Ground

Australians bade their final goodbyes to spin legend Shane Warne on Wednesday at Melbourne Cricket Stadium.

More than 50 thousand people were gathered for Shane Warne's memorial service at the iconic MCG. It was an emotional farewell for many as the Australian legend created many records at MCG, which were etched in the memories of his fans and family. Warne took his 700th Test wicket at the same venue as well and became the first bowler to reach the milestone.

At the memorial service, Warne's three children Brooke, Jackson and Summer paid an emotional tribute to their father. After that, Anthony Callea performed a rendition of Andrea Bocelli's ' The Prayer' which was followed by Jazz trumpeter Matt Jordell's performance.

Shane Warne died at the age of 52 earlier this month from a suspected heart attack while on holiday in Koh Samui, Thailand.

He was considered one of the greatest cricketers of all time.

Shane Warne's private funeral before this state memorial service was attended by dozens of celebrities including former England captain Michael Vaughan.
