Former England spinner Monty Panesar fired warning shots at Team India and warned that a 5-0 whitewash at the hands of England may be on the cards.

Speaking to ANI ahead of the second Test, Panesar said, 'If Ollie Pope and Tom Hartley continue to play like this it will be a whitewash, it will be 5-0 for England.'

'It is a very big victory, no one even imagined this was even possible. Everyone thought that England would lose after a 190 deficit but Ollie Pope had a brilliant inning one of the best innings we have seen in a long time and Rohit Sharma was clueless,' Panesar added.

'It was one of the most famous victories England have ever produced overseas. This is big news in England. It feels like we have won the World Cup,' he concluded.

Panesar was part of England's 2012/13 tour of India, which was the last time England managed to win a Test series in India. Since then, the Three Lions have lost 2 Test series in India.

Against all odds, England managed to beat India in the 1st Test in Hyderabad and Team India would be eager to bounce back in Vizag.
