Fit to play? 88 domestic cricketers to play Syed Mushtaq Ali quarters in the hazardous Delhi air

As Syed Mushtaq Ali Quarters kick-off in Delhi from Thursday, 88 premier domestic cricketers will battle it out in hazardous Delhi air.

Delhi and NCR's Air Quality Index has remained between very poor to hazardous category ever since toxic haze covered the National Capital since Diwali. Despite that, the pre-quarterfinals of the domestic T20 championship were held at the Arun Jaitley stadium and the Airforce ground in Palam.

This is not the first time though that Delhi is hosting cricket games amid poor air quality. India played against Bangladesh at the Arun Jaitley stadium in November 2019. Sri Lanka also played a Test vs India here in December 2017 where some players were also seen vomiting due to the toxic level of air.
