England's Stuart Broad announces retirement | Ashes 2023

England ace bowler Stuart Broad has announced that he will retire from cricket after the ongoing Ashes series.

After stumps on Day 3 of the ongoing 5th and final Test, the 37-year-old pacer told Sky Sports, 'Tomorrow or Monday will be my last game of cricket. it has been a wonderful ride and a huge privilege to wear the Nottinghamshire and England badge'

Broad who has picked 602 wickets in 167 Test matches made his Test debut for England in 2007 against Sri Lanka. The England ace who bows out as the 5th most prolific bowler in Test history has also played 121 ODIs and 56 T20Is.

He has been one of the key members of the English Test side and will rightly end his cricket journey as the leading wicket-taker of this year's Ashes.

'I am loving cricket as much as I ever have, its been a wonderful series to be a part of and I've always wanted to finish at the top', said Broad who hangs his boot after an illustrious 17-year long career.
